Welcome

Ross-On-Wye Ross Live! was formed in April 2005 in response to the demise of the much larger Ross International Festival, as a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee. Run by volunteers with help from a part-time paid coordinator funded by Advantage West Midlands within the Market Towns Initiative, the original concept - of a small-scale event using available permanent venues - remains in place.

Since those beginnings, however, while continuing to develop an annual festival, we have expanded our activities by creating an education programme which introduces children to making and appreciating traditional music from an early age.

Within this programme are the Brampton Abbotts Suzuki Group and the 'It's Sound' project, details of which may be found on the Education page.

We are always on the look-out for new projects and sources of funding which can be brought to children from widely diverse backgrounds, where many may come from homes with no music. Ross Live! was registered as a charity with educational objects, in July 2007.
